Yanick is an experienced HR professional with over 20 years in the UN System (UNDP, UN Secretariat, UNAIDS). She joined UNAIDS in Geneva, Switzerland in 2009, and currently serves as an HR Specialist in Staff Development and Performance.
With a strong interest in communication—particularly in radio and television—Yanick brings a creative and people-centered approach to her work. Her expertise spans HR policy advisory, workforce planning, recruitment, and learning and development. Fluent in English and French, she leads initiatives for young talents—interns, fellows, JPOs and UN Volunteers—and provides guidance on career development and professional growth.
A UK-certified Career Coach, she offers personalized career counselling and has mentored women through the UNAIDS Mentoring Programme. Yanick is also a poet and freelance writer, committed to empowering others and helping them navigate their career journeys with purpose and confidence.
Nada Riad is an HR professional with over a decade of experience at UNAIDS, currently serving within the Staff Development and Performance team. She plays a central role in supporting staff learning, leadership development, onboarding, and performance management. Provides strategic support to address underperformance, serving as the Global Rebuttal Panel Assistant.
Nada began her UNAIDS journey in 2010 with the Regional Support Team for MENA region, where she contributed to both operational and programmatic areas. Her earlier career includes leadership roles in operations and HR with international NGOs in Egypt and experience in the private sector across HR and office management. Nada holds a diploma in Human Resources Management, and a diploma in Accounting Management from the American University in Cairo and a degree from the Faculty of Languages. Fluent in Arabic, English, and French—she brings a rich, multilingual perspective to her facilitation approach.
