Crisis Support training course

These training courses are aimed to build networks of "support volunteers" which can provide official information and updates following an emergency situation. Volunteers will also be trained to offer critical and compassionate support to families of staff who have passed away in service, as well as to staff who have been injured. This training incorporates psychological components, including how to handle responses to grief, as well as key pragmatic topics - call centre management, crisis communications and how to navigate the benefits, entitlements and compensation processes within the organization.
