The goal of this course is to help you improve your oral skills at advanced level and in the professional domain.
The course will build your confidence in key areas such as: meetings, presentations, telephoning, networking and negotiations. Through giving you discourse strategies, developing your pronunciation, and fine-tuning your use of grammar and idiomatic vocabulary, the course will improve your oral skills in various professional and public contexts.
You will prepare for the classes beforehand through exploring authentic material. You will become familiar with various tools and websites to assist your learning. With assistance, you will work on a course project during the term. You will have a coaching session giving you personalized feedback after completing your project.
You will be evaluated through: your course project, course attendance at a minimum of eight sessions and online platform participation.
