The goal of this course is to help you improve your oral skills at advanced level.
This is a follow-on course to Advanced Discussion and Debate - part 1 (UN III) featuring a set of new topics. Through discussing various current affairs topics and participating in debates on global issues, you will build your confidence in conversing in English at an advanced level. You will also gain experience in using various online tools, including videoconferencing tools, and will develop your pronunciation and your use of grammar and idiomatic vocabulary.
You will prepare for the classes beforehand. With assistance, you will work on a personal project during the term, lead your own discussion and have a coaching session to discuss your delivery afterwards.
You will be evaluated through: your course project, tasks completed, attendance at a minimum of eight sessions and online platform participation.
