Career support: Developing your own career path (eWorkshop)

Course objectives

Would you like to know how to better manage your career? Would you be interested in developing a plan for your professional development? Would you like to know how to evaluate your career progress?

Every person has professional ambitions, although not everyone has a clear idea of their short, medium, and long-term goals and how they are aligned with their own values, strengths, and interests. In an ever-changing professional environment, developing a structured career plan allows individuals to better visualize their professional advancement, give them a sense of direction and be able to better evaluate their career progress in the medium and long-term.

Creating a career path requires thoughtful self-evaluation, designing a strategic career plan and further developing your networking skills to learn about different career alternatives. This course is designed to provide you with exercises, tips, and guidance to think about your future career goals and to create the foundation for your own career path.

By the end of the session, you will:

  • Learn what a career path is;
  • Get some ideas about different career paths (in the same job family and across job families);
  • Design the first draft of your own career path.
