Course Objectives
Networking is a critical component in a job search. There are some common networking myths shared by many people that are not reflecting what effective networking is: networking is about creating trustful relationships based on mutual benefit, not asking for a job; it is about identifying present and future opportunities, not selling oneself; it is about being interested in people you would like to know and giving something valuable for them in return.
By the end of this workshop, participants will have:
- better understanding of the key aspects of networking;
- Understood the art of building alliances and fostering contacts for mutual benefits; and
- Developed a networking action plan.
