Theresa Beltramo is the Head of Research and Development Impact at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), where she leads the Bank's research agenda on infrastructure finance and development economics. She brings over 15 years of experience spanning multilateral institutions, academia, and the private sector, with deep expertise in impact evaluation, econometric modeling, and the application of geospatial and AI-driven tools to measure development outcomes. Prior to AIIB, Theresa held senior roles at UNHCR and the World Bank, where she led flagship impact evaluations and built evidence systems that shaped policy across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the MENA region. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Ca' Foscari University of Venice and is the lead author of numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading development economics journals.
