Joel Nielsen has led Leadership and Management learning portfolios at both UNHCR and the UN System Staff College (UNSSC). For the past year, he has been heading UNHCR’s Global Learning and Development Center in Budapest, with a strong focus on advancing the organization’s skills journey.
Deeply passionate about people-centric workplaces, Joel brings expertise in learning and talent development, organizational and cultural transformation, leadership and management development, project management, and innovation. He is also engaged with the evolving future of work, including distributed work models.  A proud team player, enjoys running, reading, and embracing life. He is fluent in both English and Danish.
