Andrea Kienle

Andrea Kienle recently celebrated her 25-year anniversary in the UN system. Her UN journey started as a JPO in New York in the UN Secretariat in the Department of Human Resources Management (HRM), being responsible for designing a  managed mobility programme as well as a structured learning programme for P-2s.

She always remained in the area of HR, with a strong focus on staff development. After HRM she moved to the Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO), being part of the first training team. There she learnt to build bridges and finding common ground between military, police and civilian staff as well as finding pragmatic solutions for situations in the field.

This is also what she did as the Chief of Staff Development in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) between 2007 and 2017.

Currently at UNIDO Andrea leads the Talent Development and Performance Management team, facilitating learning solutions for everyone and empowering UNIDO’s diverse talent to thrive.
