The goal of this course is to focus on the news to express opinions and develop informal conversation as well as oral and written comprehension at advanced level.
This course covers topics discussed in the Arabic media by exploring well-known news sites, electronic journals and social media pages. The course will focus on written and oral comprehension.
Each week, you will study a wide range of media from the Arabic-speaking world and talk about international news. You will prepare for the classes beforehand through exploring authentic material. You will enlarge your vocabulary, activate grammar skills and develop spontaneous speaking. With assistance, you will work on a course project during the term. You will have coaching sessions in which we will help you to complete your project and present it.
There is no formal evaluation. You will be evaluated through your class participation and attendance at a minimum of eight sessions.
