Course Objective

The goal of this course is for those who have studied Modern Standard Arabic to understand and engage in conversation using Leventine dialects spoken in more than four Arab countries.

Content

This course covers topics such as family, work, and professional experience. It focuses on aspects of the Arabic culture, such as social and public celebrations, costumes and clothing, food, social taboos and difficulties faced living in Lebanon.

Methodology / Approach

This course focuses on participant's speaking skills and uses authentic materials. It offers a wide range of activities in order to practise the Leventine dialect.

Evaluation

There is no formal evaluation. Completion requirement: 70 per cent attendance
