The Orientation Programme for new staff members in Geneva is a 2-day programme that provides you with information on a wide range of topics such as Human Resources, Learning and Development, the Pension Fund, the Internal Justice System, Welfare and Support, Security and Safety, Health and Well-being and an overview of the various activities of UNOG. This programme serves as the third phase of induction. It complements the general UN information (i.e. administrative information unrelated to the Staff Members’ specific duty station) provided through the Global Induction Platform (GIP) and the onboarding process by Human Resources and your office. The programme kicks off with a local information gathering process on matters that relate directly to the Office and the duty station.
Sessions are held twice a year, one in spring and one in fall. The programme is aimed at all staff members (local and international regardless of their type of contract) who joined the organization during the last six months.
